Handcrafted pottery is an investment due to the time, skills and material it takes to produce. That said, there are only a few things to keep in mind to ensure its longevity;
1)   Pottery can crack or break if it experiences extreme temperature fluctuations.
* Do not place a hot piece on (or in) a cold surface - or vice versa.
When you use it in the oven;
DO NOT PREHEAT THE OVEN... place the food inside the pottery, and heat both together. When removing, make sure you place the hot piece on something like a wood cutting board, or fabric trivets.
It's safe to cook at standard baking temperatures, but I cannot guarantee broiling temperatures focused on the piece for lengths of time won't damage it.

2) Although my pottery is dishwasher safe, handwashing is always recommended to ensure longevity of the glaze.
3) Do not use harsh abrasives for cleaners on any handcrafted piece of pottery.
FAQ
Do you use Lead-free Glazes, and are they all Microwave/Oven safe?
- Yes to all. If something is purely decorative however, and not meant for food, it will be labeled in the description as "not foodsafe," or "decorative piece only."
Note; any piece decorated with 22 karat gold is NOT safe for the microwave.
What is your return policy?
- I cannot accept returns beyond the wrong item being received, or an item damaged during transit. Please send me photos of the piece(s) immediately upon accepting it from the mail;
I will offer a refund or a same-price exchange, minus transit costs after contacting you.
It's for this reason that I ask you read descriptions carefully, and ask questions if needed.
Do you do customs?
- Due to my full-time job, I typically decline customs.
I don't like making customers wait longer than necessary.
How much is shipping?
Shipping within Canada:
- British Columbia: $20 (or free local pickup!)
- Alberta: $30
- Rest of Canada: $35
- U.S & INTERNATIONAL costs; shipping is $60 in Canadian funds.
Shipping is charged per order at time of checkout (not per individual item), including multiple items being purchased at same time. We are not responsible for delivery delays once outside of Canada. Thank you for your understanding on this - Prices on international shipments have increased simply due to duties charges. The total shipping price includes the shipment PLUS the duties charge.
Do you ship internationally?
(see note above for details)
- I have shipped a great many pieces to the U.S, and as far as Scotland, the Netherlands, and France, and now, Italy. Thankfully, all have arrived damage-free to date (knock on wood)!
I use recycled and/or biodegradable materials for packing when available.
I want to know that each piece has arrived safely into your hands, and that you are genuinely pleased with your purchase.
Please remember, although we artists love compliments, there's nothing that beats a good Google review!
